NOW has filed the appeal in the case of Bowe v. Colgate Palmolive in which a group of women at the Colgate plant in Indiana were laid off when the company refused to permit them to exercise their seniority to claim jobs involving lifting beyond the state maximum of 35 pounds. A Federal District Court had found in favor of the company practice.
